SERVICES PROVIDED:

Banta Carbona Irrigation District provides irrigation water to approximately 17,000 acres to an area located southeast of Tracy and westerly of the San Joaquin River. The District’s water rights include pre-1914 water rights for 30,000 acre feet from the San Joaquin River and a 25-year contract with the US Bureau of Reclamation for 20,000 acre feet expiring in 2030.  Groundwater is not used for district supplies except in the drier years.
