SERVICES PROVIDED:
The Ripon Consolidated Fire Protection District provides fire protection, prevention, suppression,
inspection, hazardous material, water rescue, basic and advanced medical, ambulance, urban
search and rescue, fire investigation and Incident Management Team services. The District added
emergency ambulance service in 1974. It was the first and currently the only fire district in the
County to provide an ambulance service. Because the District has certified paramedics on staff it
provides Advanced Life Support as well as Basic Life Support for medical incidents. The
ambulance service is staffed 24/7 with at least one paramedic on duty.

DESCRIPTION OF DISTRICT:
1. Formed in 1963 by the consolidation of the Ripon Fire District and the Ripon Rural Fire
District.
